1) Study's objective is "To assess rotigotine transdermal patch for the perioperative management of moderate to severe RLS". To assess what? Efficacy? Feasibility of use? The objective of this posthoc analysis was to assess the feasibility of use of rotigotine transdermal patch for the perioperative management of moderate to severe RLS. Efficacy data for the entire study population, including patients who did not undergo surgery were published elsewhere (references 18, 19, 20 of the manuscript). Visits throughout the maintenance phase of this 5-year study were scheduled at monthly intervals during the first year and at 3-monthly intervals thereafter. As stated in the methods part, no prespecified efficacy assessments (e.g. IRLS scores) were available for the perioperative period. Sentence in the abstract was changed to: To assess the feasibility of use of rotigotine transdermal patch for the perioperative management of moderate to severe RLS, long-term data... 2) In the conclusions, the sentence "This suggests that rotigotine transdermal patch may be a suitable alternative in situations where administration of oral treatments is limited or contraindicated" is too speculative and is not based on study results. It should be removed. We agree that the broad expression “situations” may be slightly speculative in the light of the data presented and we included perioperative situations. Sentence was
